The EFP just published its third evidence-based guideline, on the multidisciplinary treatment of peri-implant diseases, in the Journal of Clinical Periodontology in June 2023.

This guideline is the outcome of Perio Workshop 2022, the scientific meeting held by the EFP in November 2022 in La Granja, Spain, where leading experts from around the world discussed how to best prevent and treat peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis. Focus was set on the implementation of interdisciplinary approaches required to prevent the development of peri-implant diseases or their recurrence, and to treat/rehabilitate patients with dental implants following the development of peri-implant diseases.
